Edwin Churchill Dies
Old Soldier Passes Away Last Night
Last evening at 8:15 Edwin Churchill died after a long illness. Mr. Churchill has been very ill for a long time, having had a stroke of paralysis about a year ago, which left him an invalid. The deceased was 76 years old. He is an old soldier, having fought in the civil war.
Mr. Churchill came to this city from Kearney about 5 years ago and has made many friends here. He is the father of ten children, eight of which are living; five girls and three boys: namely Mrs. Fairchild of Kearney, Mrs. Hollingshead of Aurora, IN., and Mrs. Tatum, Mrs. Pickrell, Mrs. Jeffers and John, Harry and Charles of this city. He also leaves a wife to mourn his death, who, having helped to nurse him through his long illness will sorely miss him.
The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
