Dennis L. "Penny" Adkisson, 72, of Louisville, died Wednesday [April 16, 2003] at Caritas Medical Center. He was a native of Meade Co., KY, a retired service technician for Sears Roebuck and Co., a former employee of Brown & Williamson, a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and a Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Pat Harris; children, Annetta (Tom) Richard, Dennis (Julie) Adkisson, Theresa (John) McCaffrey, Donnie (Linda) Adkisson, Amy (Omer) Absher and Teena Adkisson; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6105 So. 3rd St., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son.
