MIFFLINBURG—Donald E. Weaver, 76, of Market Street, died Friday, December 5, 1997, at his home.
He was born November 16, 1921, in Aaronsburg, a son of Frank and Stella (Wance) Weaver. He and the former Mary Ellen “Polly” Johnson were married August 2, 1941 in Hartleton.
He was a graduate of Millheim High School.
Mr. Weaver retired from Yorktowne in quality control.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose where he served as governor for 17 years and held all the district offices at one point in time.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and his dog, Gunner.
He was survived by his wife, one son, Herbert D.; one daughter, Linda W.; one sister, Gladys Miller of Mifflinburg.
Graveside services were held in Hartleton Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Mark Shover, of Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church.
