Jewel Greenelsh
March 21, 1926 - July 30, 2018

Jewel Rains Greenelsh, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 30, 2018.

She was born on March 21, 1926 in Tutwiler, Mississippi. Jewel and her family relocated to West Memphis in 1938, she was the last survivor of 10 children.

She was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church in West Memphis for over 40 years, where she volunteered her time counting church offerings and was active in her United Methodist Women's Circle.

During her professional career she worked as a lab technician at Hamilton Clinic for 35 years touching many lives while serving and addressing the health care needs of the people of Crittenden County. She was truly a blessing to all who knew her.

Jewel was predeceased by her late husband Ed Greenelsh.

She is survived by her nephew; her niece, and many other family and friends who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in West Memphis. A private burial will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park prior to the service.
