She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess H. and Ollie M. Hilton; husband, Herman (Smitty) Smith; father of her children, Paul O. Bailey, two infant children; several brothers and sisters.
Martha is survived by her loving children; daughters, Paulette Russom, Wanda Skonie, Linda Sujka (Casey); son, Bill C. Bailey (Tonya); brother, Gale Hilton; sister-in-law, Shirley Helton; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. The funeral ceremony will follow at 5:00 pm with Brother Roy Courtney and Brother Gordon Presley officiating. The graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
