Darlene Huey, 80, of Independence, MO passed away January 15, 2019. Visitation will be 10 am Monday, January 21, 2019 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Rosary will begin at 10:40 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Graveside services in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montrose, MO will follow Mass. Darlene was born on June 10, 1938 in Meltonville, KS to Warren and Sophia (Pohlman) Cameron. Darlene was a resident of Clay Center, KS until she married Howard Huey, Jr. She was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. Darlene was also blessed with an abundance of family and friends with whom she formed many unforgettable memories. Her faith and strong constitution had become a great asset to her family. Survivors include; husband of over 60 years, Howard Huey; daughter in law Tonya Huey; granddaughter Chrissy Heneese and her Shawn; numerous nieces and nephews; a large extended family and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Sullivan Center in her memory.
