Mrs. Marguerite Williams, 67 of 141 Johnson Rd., Houston, died in her home, Saturday, October 1, 1960, at 1:24 p.m. Mrs. Williams had been in failing health for several years, but her death was unexpected.
She was born Jan. 15, 1893, at Canonsburg, a daughter of the late William A. and Ella Fife Matthews, and was a lifetime resident of the Canonsburg - Houston area. Mrs. Williams was a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Canonsburg High School in the Class of 1910.
She was married June 20, 1918, to Brad R. Williams, who survives. Mr. Williams is a retired manager of the Mellon Bank, Canonsburg Branch.
Also surviving are two sons: Charles J., of Charleroi, and Brad R. Jr., in the U.S. Navy at Guam; four sisters, Mrs. Claribel Heagen, of Ezel, Ky.; Mrs. Ada Doughterty, of Canonsburg; Mrs. Edith Richards, of Canonsburg, RD 3; and Mrs. Ethel Wassum, of Orlando, Fla., and three grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.
Friends are being received at the William E. Speakman Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m., where services will be held Tues day, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m., in charge of the Rev. Paul R. Graham, pastor of the Canonsburg U. P. Church. Burial will be in the Oak Spring Cemetery.
