Gertrude L. Maxson, 89, of Lafayette died Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Rosewalk Village. She was born March 8, 1925, in Lafayette to the late Gus and Bessie Bowsher Baumgardt. On November 7, 1947 she married Wilbur Maxson in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2011. Gertrude enjoyed collecting mule figurines and traveling to Kentucky.
Surviving are her children Linda Massie (Jim) of Lafayette, Mary Ann Martin of Mulberry and Terry Maxson of West Point. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and several great grand children. Gertrude was preceded in death by a son Tom and 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
