She was born April 15, 1932, in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, daughter of Thomas Welchman Osborne and Lenora Smith Osborne. To put it simply, Estelle loved everybody, and everybody loved her. She especially loved her little dog Spike.
After graduating from high school, Estelle attended Indiana State University. On Feb. 25, 1955, Estelle married Robert Pugh. They were married 63 years.She later worked at Pfizer Drug Company in Chicago. After moving to Crawfordsville, and raising children, she worked at Century 21.
Estelle was known for her music and guitar playing. When she was younger she played on a radio station in southern Indiana, performing gospel music with her siblings. Even in recent years, Estelle and her husband played at local nursing homes and at their church.
Survivors include: husband Robert Pugh, Crawfordsville; four children, Linda Watts Reddick and husband Steve of Vilonia, Arkansas, Kevin (Donna) Pugh of Naples, Florida, Russell (Tonya) Pugh of Linden and Robert (Cari) Pugh II of Sheridan; grandchildren, Sammy (Lisa) Watts, Lisa (Jason) Farmer; Toni (Mike) Hollister, David Pugh, Phillip (Aree) Pugh, Kevin Pugh; Aaron Pugh; Ryan Pugh; Kayla Pugh; Jordan (Kayla) Pugh and Mary (Ze’ev) Kouznetsov; great-grandchildren, Christina (Frank) Walker, Skylor Smith, Mike (Carrie) Hollister II, Cheyenne Hollister and Adelline Pugh; great-great-grandchildren, Cameron Walker, Lucas Walker and Easton Hollister.
In addition to her parents, Estelle was preceded in death by her siblings, Jay, Esther, Vivian, Odella, Rissie, Geoffrey, Dan, Lloyd, Retha, Carolyn and Retna. Three sisters died in infancy.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m.
