Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Vergennes, with burial in the Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes, for Hazel E. Nausley who died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1981, in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, after a short illness.
Mrs. Nausley was a sales clerk at the Ben Franklin Store in Murphysboro, and a member of the Retail Clerks Union of Murphysboro. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the De Soto Chapter.

She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Vergennes.

She was born in Jackson County to Flem A. and Cora Cornett Shupe on Dec. 17, 1919.

She married Richard Nausley on Jan. 1, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, of Vergennes; three daughters, Nina Pippin of Marathon, Fla., Sandra Rendleman of Murphysboro, and Rita Todd of Chesterfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; one brother, Horace Shupe of Vergennes; two sisters, Grace Heape of Vergennes and Bettye Doerr of Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.

Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, and at the Faith Methodist Church in Vergennes from noon until the hour of service Thursday.
