Patricia Ann Shannon Girdler, 80, of Heyworth, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Sunday (July 8, 2018) at her home.

Patricia was born July 26, 1937, in Heyworth, a daughter of Elmer L. and Goldie Lena Rousey Shannon. She married Robert R. Girdler on July 29, 1955, in Heyworth. He passed away May 27, 1999.

She is survived by her children, Michael Robert (Cyndi) Girdler, Heyworth; Gregory Allen Girdler, Bloomington; Shane Davis Mallicoat, Heyworth and Jeanna Lynn Shannon McCardie, Heyworth; grandson, Brian (Brynn) Girdler, Heyworth; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Madelyn Girdler and very special niece who was like a daughter, Leisa (Jeff) Wilson, Heyworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 14 siblings, Porter Shannon, Winifred Shannon, Earl Shannon, Merle Shannon, Arliene Hooser, Robert Shannon, Billy Shannon, Betty Zimmerman, Junior Shannon, Beverly Aldridge, Gordon Shannon, Shirley Emberton, Donald Shannon, Donna Rae Steele.

Patricia had worked at the AMG in Heyworth from 1990-2015. She was a member of the United Church of Heyworth. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the riverboat with her lady friends and cheering for the 11-time World Champion St. Louis Cardinals.
