Robert Lee Shannon was the son of Elmer L. Shannon and Goldie Lena Rousey. Robert married Doris Gettel on Dec. 21, 1949 in Heyworth, McLean Co., IL. They had three children: Robert William., Tammie Fay., and Diana Jean. Robert was a SSGT in US ARMY during WWII and KOREA.
