Marcella M. Ford, 91, a lifetime area resident, died on Friday June 8, 2018 at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital in Newberry. 

Born on September 5, 1926 in Seney Twp., she was the youngest and last surviving child of the late William H. & Anna (Tyler) Groh. Following graduation she married Roland "Rollie" Ford on November 18, 1944. Roland always referred to Marcella as "Peewee". Marcella was employed as an Attendant Nurse at the Newberry Regional Mental Health Facility until her retirement. Marcella was an active member of the Curtis Quilters Club and the Curtis Spinning Club for many years. She also enjoyed crafting, painting and was a weaver. While her husband was alive their passion was camping around different spots in the UP but especially enjoyed Woodland Park in Grand Marais. Marcella was a member of the Luce County Historical Museum. Marcella is preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings and her husband Roland on May 25, 2011.
