Susan Oney, 81, of Ironton, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at home.
She was born May 15, 1919, in Logan County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ira and Betty Gilman White. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith and attended Logan County schools.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Oney; two sons, Dick Oney of Waverly and Tom Oney of Ironton; seven daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Betty) Browing of Wayne, W.Va., Mrs. Grover (Lilly) Gee of Madison Heights, Mich., Mrs. Forrest (Ruby) Kerns, Mrs. Jimmy (Janie) Blankenship and Mrs. Ken (Peggy) Ison, all of Ironton, Pauline Dickerson of Ashland, Ky., and Mrs. Bill (Nancy) Conn of Coal Grove; one sister, Geraldine Hager of Ranger, W.Va.; one brother, Charlie White of Columbus; 42 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Clarence Jr. Moore; three brothers, Mitchell, Willie and Donald White; and one sister, Gertrude Lambert Dean.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodland Cemetery, with the Rev. Anthony Keaton officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton.
