BRANDON - Margaret Barr Dewease, 69, a retired cosmetician, died of stroke complications Wednesday at Rankin Medical Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today and after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Mrs. Dewease, a Jones county native, was a former Ridgeland area resident. She had lived in Brandon eight months. She was a member of Pear Orchard Baptist Church in Jackson. She was a cosmetician with Miller's Department Store for many years and went to work for Eckerd Drug Store as a cosmetician in 1974, retiring in 1988. Her hobbies were quilting and gardening. She was widow of Charles G. Dewease.
Survivors include; daughters Linda Stribling of Brandon and Sandy Frith of Terry, brothers David Barr of Brandon, Aubrey Barr and Gene Barr, both of Magee, and Joe Barr of Flowood; adopted brothers, Billy Ingram of Magee and Jimmy Ingram of Flowood; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
