A son, a brother, a husband, a father, grandfather and great grandfather. A friend, a Navy man, a Christian, and a New York Yankee fan fare the labels he wore proudly. He loved the game of golf, was a avid reader of nonfiction, an amature genealogist and a big fan of blues music.

A notable accomplishment for Richard at the age of 74 was graduating from Eastern Illinois University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and induction into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society for outstanding academic performance.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him and his life will be saluted and celebrated for many years to come. Never one for chit chat or going on too long he would no doubt insist I end this now. May he Rest in Peace.
