Forest Ray Abney
October 18, 1941 - November 4, 2017 Forest Ray Abney, 76, husband of Karen Coffman Abney, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at his home. A native of Clark County, he was born on October 18, 1941, to the late Rupard B. and Verlie Mae Bivins Abney. He was a Kentucky Colonel and retired from Leggett and Platt.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Rita (Carl) Johnson, Michael Ray Abney, Bryan Lee Abney and Kimberly Nicole Abney; one sister, Virginia Mae Pingleton Browning; three brothers, Charles Edward (Juanita) Abney, James Russell (Helen) Abney and John Carlton (Sylvia) Abney; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruhama A. (Marshall) Sidwell and Georgia Lee (Warner) Watts; and three brothers, Richard Eugene (Ruth) Abney, Rupard B. (Hazel) Abney, Jr. and Roy Lee (Judy) Abney.

Services will be at 2:00PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Scobee Funeral Home by Bro. Jimmy Muncie. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews and cousin, Benny Abney
