William and Mary Boyer lived in a log house in rural Linton Township, Coshocton County. His 81 acre farm was land Willed to him by his father George Boyer in 1890. It was not to be sold when William died but handed down to his son. They had a son Francis and a daughter Margaret Boyer now deceased.

William's brother lived in a log house next door on an 88 acre farm of his own. His father George willed this land to him. He built a nice log house from trees on his land.

Both log houses were standing in good condition until the Peabody Coal Company stripped the land in the 1960's and destroyed everything.

William left his farm to his son Francis.
