Preston I. Weikert, 96, Main St., Fairfield, died Friday morning at Village Green Convalescent Home. Born in Hamiltonban Twp., he was the son the late Jacob S. and Susan Eicker Weikert. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fairfield. He was a farmer most of his life but for a number of years before his retirement, he was associated with PennDOT. He was a life member of the Fairfield Fire Co. His wife, the late Helen Wertz Weikert, died in 1984. Surviving are two brothers, Frank Weikert and Maurice Weikert, both of Fairfield; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield with his pastor, the Rev. Carol S. Hendrix,
officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery.
