UNION TOWNSHIP - James S. Bloise, 86, passed away the morning of Sept. 14, 2017, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born on Jan. 3, 1931, in New Castle, Pa., he was the son of the late Anthony and Rose Frank Bloise.
On Feb. 19, 1955, he married his beloved wife, the former Rose Geraci, and the two of them spent 59 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 2015.
James worked for the Fenati Brick Company, Rocky’s Market, Fisher Fazio, and Valu King and retired from Giant Eagle as Meat Department manager. He served his country as a member of U.S. Army, fighting on the front lines during the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Vitus Church.
James always looked forward to the annual hunting trip to Corning, N.Y. with his brothers, nephews, and friends and made great memories.
He was an avid Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan.
James loved to make sauce and meatballs for Sunday dinner. He cherished the time he spent with his family and being surrounded by his family. What a joy he got out of Brutus, the family dog.
