Services for Josephine Marie Coffey, 65, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church, Oskaloosa, with the Rev. Paul Reed and Craig Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.

Mrs. Coffey died Friday, April 2, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1928, at Effingham, the daughter of Clarence R & Ethel D Cox Adams.

She had lived in Lawrence since 1969, having moved from Oskaloosa. She was employed by Kansas University's house keeping department and the Kansas Union for 20 years before she retired. Mrs. Coffey was a member of the North Lawrence Baptist Church.

She married Kenneth Coffey on Oct. 8, 1959, at Oskaloosa. He died June 11, 1992.
A daughter, Rosetta Caton, died Oct. 28, 1983.

Survivors include three sons, Alfred Elkins,
Randy Dean Coffey and Kenneth Coffey Jr., all of Lawrence; four daughters, Barbara Brien, Topeka, Sherry Verhage, Geneva, Neb., Elaine Stockton, Owosso, Mich., and Linda K. Kelley, Lawrence; 21 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
