Services for Howard Benton Adams, 66, rural Holton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka with Rev. Raymond Unruh officiating. Graveside military services will be conducted by the Topeka North Post No. 400 of the American Legion in the Valencia Cemetery.

Mr. Adams died Friday night at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.

He was born Feb. 10, 1921, in Hoxie. Mr. Adams graduated
from Oskaloosa High School and lived in the Valencia and Perry communities before moving to the Holton Area in 1966. He was a farmer and had retired from Goodyear Tire Co., after 32 years of service.

Mr. Adams was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Denison Union Church of Denison, the
United Rubber Workers of America AFL-CIO union local No. 307.

He married Norma Kline on March 22, 1947, in Topeka.

She survives at the home. Other survivors include four daughters, Betty McMullen, Denison, Juanita Ditch, Topeka, Shirley Smith, Topeka, and Sandra Bishop, Baxter, Iowa; a son Gary Adams of Pampa, Tex., two sisters, Adelia Powell, Topeka, and Josephine Coffey, Lawrence; and 15
grandchildren.
