RICHMOND, Ind. – Geneva D. Jones, age 97, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, August 21, 2017, at Reid Health.
Born October 8, 1919, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, to John M. and Anna Robinson Abney, Geneva had lived in this community most of her life. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Larry) Reinhard of New Carlisle, Ohio; son, Orville “Ray” (Carol) Jones of Richmond; grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Jones of Lewisburg, Ohio, Thad (Lisa) Reinhard of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kara Reinhard of West Chester, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Bryten and Makenna Jones, both of Lewisburg and Brooke Dittman and Cole Reinhard, both of Cincinnati; sister, Edna Cate of Richmond; brother, Joe Abney of Mount Vernon, Kentucky; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Orville R. Jones; parents; brothers, Dick, Ralph, Howard, and Hubert Abney; and best friend, Alice Krick.
Visitation for Geneva D. Jones will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
