William Hubert Abney age 81 of Keith Drive passed away Tuesday morning at his home.
Hubert was born in Rockcastle County to the late John M. and Ann Robinson Abney. He was a retired machinist from the National Lead Company and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers Clelan "Dick", Ralph and Howard Abney.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 59 years Kathleen Harding Abney, 5 children Brenda (Jerry) Pennington of McKee, Greg (Karen) Abney of Berea, Debbie (Wayne) Chamberlain Las Vegas, NM, Barbara Smith of London and Douglas Abney of Mt. Vernon. One brother Joe Abney, two sisters Geneva Jones and Edna Cates, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also survive him.
