Mrs. Irene B. Carter, a native of Tullahoma, Tennessee and a resident of Mobile for 60 years, died Monday, November 22, 1999 at a local hospital. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth (Bill) Clement of Mobile, Alabama; two sons, Jackie R. McAfee of Mobile, Alabama and Wayne Dees of Mobile; three grandchildren, David Young, Devin Clement, and Jessica McAfee; two great-grandchildren, other relative, and many friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
