Jean Davis Caruthers Watts a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 6:28 a.m. Sunday, January 19, 1997, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 68 and a native of Fryberg, Louisiana.

Visiting was held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel 10 a.m. until religious services at 2:30 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Carroll Marr.

Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Survived by husband, Warren D. Watts, Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer C. andJohn A. Freeman, St. Francisville; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Margie Iverson and David Iverson, Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey D. and Dedye B. Caruthers, Semmes, Alabama; three sisters, Edna Jones, Shreveport, Doris Woodward, Boulder, Colo., and Martha Louks, Montgomery, Ala.; two brothers, Derwood Davis, Bossier City, and Bill Davis, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Brian, Emily and John Caruthers and Stephanie Freeman; and two stepgrandchildren, Gretchen and Daniel Iverson.

Preceded in death by first husband, John E. Caruthers; parents, Wilburn G. and Ila Belle Harrison Davis; and brothers, K.W. Davis, Lavonne Davis and Oscar Davis. Pallbearers will be Jerry Klier, Martin Klier, Brian Caruthers, David Iverson, Daniel Iverson and John Wax. Honorary pallbearers are Al Summers, Richard Langford and Richard Siler.

She was a member of Bistineau Baptist Church, Lake Bistineau, Louisiana.
