Lynn Eugene Aseltine, of Charlotte, 90, died April 6, 2017. Lynn is native of Charlotte, MI. He was born to Frank and June (Glover) Aseltine on January 27, 1927. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as a carpenter for the Grand Trunk Railroad. After retiring he continued as local carpenter in the Charlotte area.

In his leisure time Lynn was an avid sportsmen and hunter. His trophies included deer, elk, moose, dall sheep, mountain goats, wild boar, and bear. He was good ole boy who always was ready with a conversation. He was a member of the VFW Post #2406 and the Charlotte Eagles Aries #3552.

Lynn E. Aseltine is survived by his daughter, Diana Kaliyanakis; sisters, Anna Sherwood and Ella Mae Evert; brother, Allen (Anne) Aseltine; sister-in-law, Debbie Aseltine and one granddaughter. He was predeceased by his wife, Grace; sister, Irene VanLiew; and his brothers, Elmer Aseltine, John Aseltine, Cecil Aseltine, and Donald Aseltine.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, MI with Reverend Rich Mitterling officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday April 10, 2017. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories of Lynn on his Tribute Page at www.PrayFuneral.com.
