Donald D. Aseltine of Osceola Twp., near Evart, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Cadillac Mercy Hospital. He was 64. Mr. Aseltine was born November 6, 1949 in Charlotte, Michigan to Frank and June Julia (Glover) Aseltine. Donald and his wife, Debra, retired to the Evart area in 2003. Mr. Aseltine was a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam war and a member of VFW Post 6015, Marion. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. Donald looked forward to Bass Tournaments and having lunch at McDonalds. Donald is survived by his wife, Debra, of Evart. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Irene, and 3 brothers, Elmer, Cecil, and John. Funeral services for Mr. Aseltine are 1:00pm Tuesday, January 7th at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with visitation at 11:00am until time of services. Internment will be in Osceola Township Cemetery.
