She was born March 17, 1928, to Montague and Sophie Truslow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kirby Jr.; a son, Michael; three brothers, Dempsey, Randy and Elwood Truslow; and one sister, Barbara Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Nancy Dudley and her husband, Gary of Greenwood, Glenda Dunnivan and her husband, Donald of Afton, Larry Kirby and his wife, Terry of Louisa, Barry Kirby and his wife, Evelyn of North Garden, and Tony Kirby and his wife, Ruth of Louisa.
She is also survived by a brother, Mike Truslow; four sisters, Lillian Baber, Nona Carver, Ann Fitzgerald and Lena Call; along with 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was retired from the Thomas Jefferson Foundation (Monticello), a member of Mt. Ed Baptist Church in Batesville and a member of the Crozet Chapter of the Women of the Moose.
Graveside services were held Jan. 13 at Wild Rose Cemetery in Batesville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road, Suite 2, Charlottesville, VA 22903, or charity of your choice
