Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Plichta, 85, of Uniontown, Pa., a resident of Mount Macrina Manor, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2007.

She was born on September 5, 1921, in Outcrop, Pa., a daughter of Max Francis and Anna (Kurtik) Plichta.

The last member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Max and Anthony "Irvin" Plichta and sisters, Irene Basta and Anna Petruska.

Betty was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church and retired from Fayette Bank. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid Steelers fan.

Left to cherish her memory are many loving nieces and nephews and their families and a special cousin, Margie Orloff of Willoughby, Ohio.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 29, 2007, until 9:15 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant.

Interment will be held in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

A Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
