Funeral services for Mary Celia Williams of Pinehurst will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2007 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with interment to follow at Sunnyiside Cemetery in Cordele. Mrs. Williams, 87, died at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele Wednesday, January 24, 2007. A native of Bullock County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee, Sr. and Leona Johns Clifton and the widow of Lt. Col. Carl F. Williams, Jr. Mrs. Williams had lived in Dooly County for many years and was a member of Snow United Methodist Church. She was a nurse(RET), a homemaker and an avid horticulturist. She is survived by three sons, Lt. Col. Thomas W. Williams and his wife, Trisha of Brisban, Australia, Dr. Carl F. Williams, III and his wife, Debbie of Oglethorpe and J oe C. Williams and his wife, Patricia of Pinehurst; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Anna-Marie and Barry Inman and Katie and Eric Lanier, all of Wilmington, NC, Rhys Williams and Lauryn Williams of Brisbane, Australia, Carrie Williams, Carl F. Williams, IV, and Celia Williams, all of Oglethorpe, Amy and Vernon Ryle of Atlanta, and Melissa Williams of Pinehurst; two great-grandchildren, Sam and Jake Inman of Wilmington, NC; four sisters, Cleonis Clifton of Savannah, Sara Lee Black of Statesboro, Jackie Hagan of Brooklet, and Linda Keller of Augusta and one brother, Carroll E. Clifton of Savannah. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn DeWitte and a brother, Robert L. Clifton, Jr. of Savannah.
