KEIR –MARY KEIR HARRIS, 89, formerly of Ulster and Sheshequin, Pa., died at the Tioga Nursing Facility on Tuesday, July 4, 2000, after a period of declining health.  Born Sept. 4, 1910, in North Ghent, she was the daughter of George and Libbie Morley Keir. 

She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Waverly, N.Y., and a former member of the Ulster Study Club.  Mary was a counselor at the Loyalsock Methodist Youth Camp and was noted for her public readings. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Ervin, in 1991; three sisters, Beatrice Dowd, Bessie Ward and infant Marjorie; and brother, George Keir. 

Surviving are stepchildren, Mrs. Al (JoAnn) Celecki of Pittsford, N.Y. and Mrs. Robert (Celia) Rice of Hallona, Neb.; stepson and daughter-in-law, Donald and Barbara Harris of Yuma, Ariz.; sister, Mrs. Esther Stuart of Wallace, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Evelyn Keir of Athens, Walter and Nellie Gray Keir of Teachey, N.C., and Delbert and Margo Keir of Souderton, Pa.; 10 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 135 Chemung St., Waverly, N.Y., on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.  The services of funeral and committal will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Faler, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, Pa.  The family will provide their own flowers.  Memorial donations may be made to the C.M.A. Church, 135 Chemung St., Waverly, N.Y.  –Towanda Daily Review.
