William Cyrus Stauty was born on Nov. 7, 1881 in Pine City, Minnesota to Charles Alburn and Carrie Marie Pearson Stauty. On Oct. 20, 1905, William married Rose Christine Palusky in Cass Lake, Cass County, Minnesota. William and Rose became proud parents to 10 children, Malcolm Claude (1906-1908), Cyrus William, Virginia Eva, Hershal Walter, Chester Winfield, Grace Evelyn Mary,Thurston Albert, Leonore Pearl Hope, Bert Eldon and Rose Marie Myrt. William also has 11 siblings.
Note: Son Malcolm Claude is buried on the Stauty homestead of 1904 near Cotton Minnesota
