ROBERT MURPHY DEAD
Robert Henry Murphy was born near Knox City, Mo., November 30, 1851, and died in Fulton, Mo., August 4, 1925, aged 73 years, 8 months and 4 days.
He was united in marriage October 19, 1876, to Miss Hannah Sellens. To this union were born two children, Mrs. J. S. Tharp of Roseville, Ill., and Mrs. G. H. Klocke of Knox County. He was the only son of Samuel and Eleanor Murphy, pioneers of Knox County, and was a member of the Bee Ridge M. E. Church.
Mr. Murphy leaves to mourn their loss, besides those mentioned, his wife, three sisters, Mrs. W. T. Mitchell of LaBelle; Mrs. George C. Cannon of Ropatee, Ill., and Mrs. W. F. Cater of Seneca, Kan.; three grandchildren, Merle and Paul Klocke and Winifred Tharp, and also an aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Shultz of Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services held at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church on Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. D. Woods, pastor of the Knox City M. E. Church. Interment was made in the Bee Ridge cemetery.
