MRS. EMMA LUCY CATER DIES;
100 YEARS OLD ON APRIL 13
Mrs. Emma Lucy Cater, 100 year old mother of Robert M. Cater, owner of the Cater Funeral Home, in Moberly, Missouri, died at 8:05 o'clock this morning in Kansas City, Mo., where she had lived for 2 1/2 years. She had previously lived in Moberly, Mo.
Mrs. Cater was born in Knox County, Mo., April 13, 1864, a daughter of the late Samuel and Eleanor Schultz Murphy. She was married to Wilmer F. Cater on Sept. 2, 1884 at Knox City, Mo.
Her husband died July 21, 1946. Mrs. Cater was a member of the Methodist Church in Macon, Mo.
Mrs. Cater observed her 100th. birthday on April 13, 1964, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Segrist of Kansas City, Mo.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
