Janie Lee Weir was a daughter of former Texas Ranger, William Fletcher Weir and Ellen Grey Johnson. She and her parents and siblings left Texas for Lea County , New Mexico in early 1906, settling on the historical Monument Springs "Hat Ranch". She was wife of Chester Arthur 'Dub" Andrus. They had no children.
