Lee Odell Turnbow, 60, of Sweetwater, died at 2:02 a.m. Thursday at Hendrick Medical
Center in Abilene after a lengthy illness.

Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater. The Rev. Charles Day of Antone officiated, assisted by Jack Willaby. Military and Masonic graveside rites were at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sweetwater.

Born Feb. 21, 1925, in Andrews, he married Alma Tibbs Feb. 23,1946, in Colorado City.
He had lived in Sweetwater since 1951. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a Mason, an associate worthy patron of Sweetwater Chapter 352, Eastern Star and a Shriner. He was a member of the York Rite, Scottish Rite, Highland Baptist Church and the Ajnerican Legion.

Survivors include his wife of Sweetwater; three sons, Lellan O. Turnbow and Ricky E. Turnbow, both of Colorado City and Eddie Turnbow of Sweetwater; two sisters, Lorena Price of Odessa and Edith Brawley of Socorro, N.M.; five brothers, Terry Turnbow of Eagle Pass, Aurthur Turnbow of Salem, N.M., James Turnbow of Sweetwater, Alfred Turnbow of Odessa and Raymond Turnbow of Houston and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Harold Moore, Mike Doyle, Randy Williamson, Glenn Barton, Clay Hill
and J. D. Slater.

Honorary pallbearers were W. W. Pyeatt, Ross Carroll, Carrol Gray, Al Teal, James Bagley and D. H. Homsberger.
