ODESSA ~~ Alfred Earl Turnbow, age 85, of Odessa, Texas, went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 5, 2016 in Big Spring, Texas.
Alfred was born on February 28, 1930 to Arthur and Hattie (Lang) Turnbow in Nolan County, Texas. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was awarded 2 Bronze Stars and the UN Service Medal. He married the love of his life, Estella Jones in 1951 in Sweetwater, Texas. He worked for TXU Electric Company for 37 years as an electrician.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Hattie Turnbow; brothers, Buddy, Terry, James, Lee and Raymond Turnbow; sisters, Lorena Price and Leona Rasberry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Estella Turnbow of Odessa, Texas; son, Kenneth and wife Sandra Turnbow of Gallup, New Mexico; daughter, Brenda Walraven and husband Donnie of Brownwood, Texas; sister, Edith Jean Brawley of Farmington, New Mexico.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John McLemore officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Alfred married Estella Jones June 21, 1951. They were divorced May 6, 1975. He married Sylvia Lou Burnett in 1979, she passed away in 2010 and on February 4, 2011 he remarried Estella.
