COLORADO CITY ~ Funeral services for Arthur A. Turnbow, 79, Loraine, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church at Loraine with burial to follow Thursday afternoon in the Ector County Cemetery in Odessa under direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.
Turnbow died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday in the Andrews Hospital after a long illness.
Born February 16, 1889 in Dublin, Turnbow married Hattie Lang December 12, 1908 in Carbon. They moved to Loraine in 1941 and he was retired from the blacksmith and welding business. Turnbow was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie; six sons, Terry Turnbow of Eagle Pass, Texas, A.L. of Deming, New Mexico, James Turnbow and Lee Turnbow, both of Sweetwater, Alfred Turnbow of Odessa and Raymond Turnbow of Abilene; two daughters, Lorena Moore of Odessa and Edith Jean Brawley of Socorro, New Mexico; a brother, Herman Turnbow of Andrews; 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
