Lelan Odell Turnbow, age 73, passed away on Friday, November 12th, 2021.
No visitation is planned.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Loraine Cemetery with Pastor David Draper officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Turnbow was born on February 21, 1948 in Loraine, Texas to Lee Odell and Alma (Tibbs) Turnbow. He married Claudia Lorena Lecroy on May 17, 1975 in Roscoe, Texas.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, Baptist and a welder. He was known for loving his family, fishing, building model airplanes, being a jokester and riding the fence line. He was known as PaPaw to his grandchildren, who he loved with all his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Lorena Turnbow of Colorado City; two daughters, Traci Braden and partner Richard Palmer of Abilene and Tammi Crowley and husband Rodger Crowley of Roscoe; three grandsons, Timothy Braden of Abilene, Robert Braden and fiance' Kimma Foster of Tulia and Colten Crowley of Roscoe; two granddaughters, September Crowley of Roscoe and Kenzi Crowley of Roscoe; great-grandson, Bryston Candelaria of Tulia; great-granddaughter, BrennLeigh Candelaria of Tulia; two brothers, Eddie Turnbow and wife Teresa of Sweetwater and Ricky Turnbow and wife Brenda of Merkel; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lee Odell and Alma (Tibbs) Turnbow, and son, Timothy Dahmen.
