Funeral Services
Conducted For
W.J. Stigall
Funeral services for William J. Stigall of Davilla, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Goodnight Funeral Home with the Rev. George Doss officiating.
Mr. Stigall passed away Thursday in a Bartlett Nursing Home at the age of 87. He was a retired farmer and rancher of the Davilla community.
He was married to Maude Locklin of San Gabriel on Sept. 15, 1900.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Stigall; three daughters, Mrs. Lou Hoke, Mrs. Myrl Campbell and Mrs. Sue Parrish; a son, Charles Stigall; two brothers, Joe Stigall of Taylor and Charlie Stigall of Seguin; two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Sharp of Waco and Mrs. Lizzie Surber of Bryan; three granddaughters, Mrs. Larry Howell, Mrs. James Burns and Mrs. Clyde Moore; and six great-grandchildren, all of Davilla.
Pallbearers were his nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. C.D. Goodnight, Ray Garrett, Bernerd Easterwood, Bill Shavers, Wilson Burns, Joe Duncum, E.B. Baggett, Ford Crosby, Roy Hardin, C.K. Hendricks, Walter Janke, Henry Taylor, Ike Camp, Henry Camp and Allen Conn.
Burial was in the Davilla Cemetery.
