She worked at Springport Steel, Albion College and most importantly was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother on her farm in Albion, where she resided all her life. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, traveling, her backyard bird watching, camping and time with her special dog “Reepy”.
Margie is survived by her husband, Charles Short; daughter, Sheila (Dean) Dermyer; grandchildren, Cory (Shawna) Bahr, Chad Adkins, Sara Adkins, Judith Lee Williams; step grandsons, Jamie Adkins, Marc Dermyer, Matt Dermyer; great-granddaughters, Audrina and Jadelynn; six step-daughters, Pat Bush, Pam Barkema, Nancy Dack, Cindy Wandel, Tracy Pickrell, Missy Cripe and their respective families, sister-in-law Wilma Bahr; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert F. Bahr Jr.; son, Steven Bahr; brothers, Julius, Walter, Herbert and George; sisters, Mabel and Irene.
Funeral Services were Monday, April 25, 2016 from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with burial following at the King Cemetery in Devereaux, Parma Township.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Southern Care Hospice Jackson, MI. Luncheon followed committal at the Clarence Township Hall
