He lived in Warsaw, IN from 1944 to 1975, Pierceton, IN from 1975 to 1990, moving to Bonita Springs in 1990. He owned and operated Warsaw Automotive Transmission, retiring in 1982, then became a supervisor at Department of Public Works in Warsaw from 1984 to 1990.
He was a World War II US Army veteran, serving as a first sergeant in the 63'rd Quartermaster Division. He received a Bronze Star Medal for heroic or meritorious achievement in combat in the European Theater.
He is survived by his wife, four daughters,a sister; Norene Slack, a brother; W. Eugene Hull, nine grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery after graveside services.
