Funeral services for Lora L. Bowden, 54, of 220 East Twenty-seventh South St., will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at 36 East Seventh South St. She died Wednesday after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Bowden was born May 18, 1895, in Lewiston, Cache County, daughter of William J. and Mary Ann Wheeler Orchard. She was married to C. A. Bowden in the Logan Temple Sept. 29, 1915.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons and a daughter, Garth, Wallace and Blaine Bowden and Mrs. Pauline Cowling, Salt Lake City; five brothers and sisters, Earl Orchard, Twin Falls, Ida.; John Orchard, Ft. Hall, Ida.; Albert Orchard, Lewiston, Cache County; William Orchard and Mrs. Anita Van Fleet, Farmington; Harold Orchard, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Vrela Bowden, Moore, Ida.; Mrs. Lavern Neeley, Blackfoot, Ida.; Mrs. Ruth Levell, Pocatello, Ida., and Mrs. Roxie Merrill, Santa Rosa, Calif., and by three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the place of services Thursday, Friday and Saturday prior to funeral. Burial will be in the Elysian Burial Gardens.
