Mrs. Mary O. Jones Sanford, 87, died at 4 am Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. Lloyd Brown, 517 Grant Street, with whom she had lived for the past six years.
She was a member of the Willard W. C. T. U., Progressive Sunday School Class, W. S. C S. and the First Methodist Church, of which she was a devout and active member until prevented by failing health. She had been in failing health for a number of years, but her condition did not become critical until a week ago. She was a devoted mother and her cheerful disposition attracted all those with whom she came in contact. She was a great lover of flowers.
She is survived by four children, Mrs. A. J. Hawley, Lima, OH, Mrs. L. Loyd Brown and H. O. Sanford, Franklin, and M. F. Sanford, Brazoria, TX; a brother, Rev. E. T. Jones, Harbor Creek; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 PM Friday at Burger Funeral Home.
