Son of Reese and Elizabeth Morgan Jones, both born in Wales, he married Elizabeth Fleming, was widowed, retired, lived at 1308 Elk St, Franklin, died there of arteriosclerosis and senile dementia, per death certificate 60634, whose informant was Mrs. Don McGuire of Franklin. Buried Jun 4 1935.

Richard Edward Jones of 1308 Elk Street, died at 5:15 am Sunday at home after an illness of 10 weeks. He was born March 30, 1957, in Sandycreek Township, son of Reese and Elizabeth Jones.

He lived in the Franklin area all his life, and 50 years in the house in which he died. He was a boilermaker and tank builder by trade, and regarded as an expert craftsman by those who knew his work. He was a member of Franklin Lodge of Elks, Franklin Aerie of Eagles, and Franklin Lodge of Moose. He was well known had a kindly disposition, and was very popular with neighborhood children.

In 1885 he married Miss Elizabeth Fleming of Franklin, who died 26 years ago.

Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Don McGuire of Franklin; 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Thomas Murphy if Franklin, Miss Betty McGuire and Miss Ruthanis Jones of Meadville; brothers and sisters, D. C. Jones, Rev. J. K. Jones, Mrs. W. O. Sanford. Mrs. James Kinney, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams of Franklin, Rev. E. T. Jones of Shippenville, and Robert Jones of North East.

Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at his home with Rev. B. E. Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
