Daughter of Reese and Elizabeth Morgan Jones, both born in PA, she married James Kinney, lived at 366 Pacific St, Franklin, died of a coronary occlusion and chronic myocarditis, per death certificate 51041, whose informant was her husband. Buried May 18 1939.

Franklin News-Herald, Saturday, May 13 1939:
Mrs. Effa Etta Jones Kinney, 78, died at 3:10 am Saturday at the family home, 366 Pacific Street, after a two week's illness. She was born Jan. 6, 1861 on Uniontown Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reese Jones.

Her entire life was spent in this city. Hers was the third death in the family this year, her brothers, Rev. John Jones, and David Jones, passing away in January and February. She was a kind and thoughtful neighbor and a loving mother, and was devoted to the Free Methodist Church.

She married James Kinney, who survives, with two sons, Morgan Reese Kinney, of Sacramento, CA, and Oliver A. Kinney at home; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams and Mrs. W. C. Sanford, of Franklin; and a brother, Essington T. Jones, of Valier, PA.

The body was removed to the Barron Funeral Home.
