Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Philip Hammond Welty, Jr., Yellow Springs; Scott F. Welty, Braddock Heights; three daughters, Doris Irene Welty, at home; Mrs. Constance M. Stanley, Triangle, Va.; Mrs. Virginia R. Trost, Baltimroe; stepson, Charles E. Hargett, Feagaville; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was employed at Fort Detrick. He was the last of his immediate family.
Services were held at this residence; interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery; M.R. Etchison and Son were the funeral directors.
