"Grace (born 12/23/1926) worked for 25 years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of MO and was supervisor of the Key Punch Section of the Data Processing Dept. when she left in 1970 to marry. She married Dale R. Mueller 4/18/53. No children. Dale died accidentally 8/20/1966 at Springfield, Illinois while photographing an auto race at the Springfield, Illinois Fairgrounds. Dale was the founder of the St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club March 1955. Grace married Elmer H. Nirgenau Jr. 3/7/1970. No children. Elmer died suddenly 4/3/79 the reult of a massive heart attack. Grace then had 2 stepchildren; Richard A. Nirgenau and Joan (nee Nirgenau) (Mrs. Raymond Reynolds). Grace then married John E. Sullivan Sr. on 5/5/1985. Grace had 6 more stepchildren; Michael J, Timothy J., Maureen L. (Mrs. Greg Bingham), Kathleen J. (Mrs. John Knop), Patricia A. (Mrs. Neal Cronin) and John E. Sullivan Jr. Grace had 19 step grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Grace and her husband John volunteered each week at St. Patrick Center, a center to help and rehabilitate the homeless in St. Louis.

"Grace was tall and thin as a child and young person, very tomboyish, growing up with 5 brothers and 3 male cousins in the same building; she was the middle child. She was larger build in later life. She is said to have been mischevious as a youngster. She was an achiever, well organized, a planner and doer for many family functions. She liked to travel and entertain family and friends in her home. She liked to help people and was there when people needed her; a thoughtful person. She never had children of her own but en-joyed her 40 nieces and nephews, her husbands' children and 19 step-grandchildren. She loved children. She liked the out of doors, auto racing (spectator) with first husband Dale, bicycling with second husband Elmer, golfing and flea marketing with John Sullivan, gardening, flowers, birds, ice skating and bowling and the computer. Grace like her brothers and sisters liked the out of doors." THE VOGLER STORY, Grace Sullivan, 1996
