Billy W. Eldridge, 89, of Wolfe City passed away Sunday, Nov. 15 at his residence. Mr. Eldridge was born on Jan. 17, 1926 to William M. and Lillie Jacobs Eldridge in Wolfe City. He married Maylene Caldwell on April 10, 1954 in Wolfe City. Mr. Eldridge was retired from Lone Star Gas Company and was a WWII and Korean War veteran, serving in both the Army and Navy.

Survivors are his wife of Wolfe City; children, Joan Lake and husband Larry of Wolfe City; Mike Eldridge and wife Jill of Wolfe City; Mark Eldridge and wife Sharon of Greenville; Jan Samples and husband Mark of Greenville. Five grandchildren, Kelley Watson Hemingway, Billy Brett Eldridge, Kevin Eldridge, Cody Eldridge, and Emma Samples. Six great-grandchildren, Austin Heatherly, Katelyn Heatherly, Ellasyn Hemingway, Acelyn Eldridge, Charlie Eldridge, and Weston Tubb; and one brother, John Eldridge of Killeen.

Mr. Eldridge was preceded in death by sisters, Susie Watson and Irene Dunn; and brothers Odell Eldridge, Cleburne Eldridge, Ray Eldridge, Willie (Junior) Eldridge, James Eldridge, and Charles Eldridge; and great granddaughter Lillian Hemingway. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, Nov. 18th in the R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City with Brother Larry Combs presiding; burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with military honors presented by the Hunt County Honor Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Eldridge, Billy Eldridge, Kevin Eldridge, Austin Heatherly, Cody Eldridge, and Lloyd Hemingway.
